Mid-January 2019 Newsletter

Hello, and a marvelous juicy Mid-January to you!
Welcome, or welcome back, to my newsletter. Today's issue is about reaching out to share your gifts, whatever they are. Enjoy!

The new year is well underway now, and rather than diving into new projects and tackling those resolutions, some of us just want to crawl into bed and pull the covers over our head! So if you've already got more than enough to do, and maybe haven't even put the holiday decorations away yet, don't worry that I'm going to suggest another task.

Even though I've been studying and learning about health-related issues for most of my adult life, primarily mental health (trying to understand other people), as well as fitness and exercise (trying to be the best I can myself), I wasn't sharing all this knowledge with anyone else. My degrees were in math and computer science, my technical office job was programming, and none of my co-workers seemed interested. So I just kept learning on my own time.

Late in my corporate career, after 15 years of study of dreams (which my computer nerd work-mates definitely didn't want to hear about!), I stumbled onto the discipline of natural vision improvement. I needed this myself, with my very strong contact lenses, and was immediately fascinated. This involved both mental and physical bad habits which could be corrected -- myopia was not a life sentence! I wanted to tell everyone I knew.

When I started writing blogs about my progress and what I was learning, often by making mistakes then correcting them, I connected with others who had similar vision challenges, and eventually developed a coaching business out of this passion. Whatever your passion, I can bet there are people who would like to learn from what you know, whether it's quilting or carpentry. Could you give a talk at your town library, or to a youth group, or at a craft fair? We're meant to help each other. Don't hide your bright light and talent under a bushel basket!
