Early September 2014 Dreamer Sight Newsletter
Hello, and a very special September to you!
Welcome, or welcome back, to my newsletter.
The picture above is a mix of light and shadow, just like our
environment this time of year, as we approach the equinox
in a few weeks. Allow
your eyes to enjoy the light, drinking in the colors and clarity.
Are you able to appreciate the darkness too? It's a chance to rest
your eyes and mind, rather than straining to see more.
Perhaps you notice that you can see a lot after dark,
movement and depth and shapes. All vision is a precious gift.
Today's issue has an article about eyes, and one about EFT and
emotions.
Enjoy!
Vision: Look into your eyes!
No, this is not about self-hypnosis. You may have realized that
few people are comfortable looking into someone else's eyes.
Perhaps they feel too vulnerable. Or they have a secret they're
hoping to hide, and they sense that someone looking into their
eyes may guess it. How does it feel to you to face yourself in a
mirror and gaze into your eyes? Do you see a secret you've tried
to hide from yourself, or do you see love and appreciation?

EFT: What is the real issue?
My EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) teacher
Carol Look
has cautioned us many times about jumping in and tapping right
away on the problem the client brings to us. If we take the time
to listen and dig deeper, the problem may turn out to be something
very different. Several clients of
mine have been proving Carol right lately.
One client was pressuring herself to get everything done, not allowing
time for rest and fun. We discovered her older sister was bossy
with her when she was a child, demanding she get all her chores done.
Now she had taken on that behavior and
was doing this to herself, even though she didn't need to.
Another client got extremely annoyed at a man who glanced at her
appreciatively. He obviously thought she was attractive,
which she is. She did not let herself enjoy this non-verbal
compliment, though -- she pushed it away. So she missed a chance
to feel good about herself.
If you find yourself saying
"I've always had a temper" or "Everyone in my family has problems
with money", and assuming the situation can't be changed, why not
look a little deeper? When did you first start believing this?
Can you imagine yourself without this bad habit? This is the type
of automatic pattern which EFT can help bring to awareness, then
loosen and remove.
If you're unfamiliar with EFT, you'll find a brief description
here,
so you can better understand its power.
I welcome your questions and comments
Let me know what you've wondered about concerning vision or
dreams or EFT. I'd be glad to write a short article for you.
Enjoy this rich month of September, and all the learning it brings
to you.
You'll hear from me again in a couple of weeks. Take care!
